Having been trained as an actress at RADA, I have worked widely in the theatre, on television and on radio. Was the senior female announcer on BBC2's 'What The Papers Say' for many years and am a frequent contributor to BBC Radio 4 programmes.
As a well known 'voiceover' in literally thousands of radio and television commercials there is ample opportunity to use a wide range of character voices from children to ancient ladies, posh and not so posh and can include impressions, like those found on this site of Hyacinth 'Bucket' and The Queen.
Another main activity is as a specialist in presentation, interview performance and communication training, using drama teaching methods to improve voice production, performance skills, stress control and confidence building.
Being in demand as a consultant, I am often asked to speak about my work and training in the theatre.
This site shows just a few examples of my repertoire. For further information, including a download of my CV, please contact me.
